Clearing Your Thoughts and Mental Body

Like many, I’m someone who struggles with lower thoughts. Worry seems to be my go-to and if I’m not worried, I’m obsessed or distracted. I’ve used every technique I know to release these, but often the fears return. In the past, I usually blamed myself for having lower thoughts.
That is until I learned that the dark goes after lightworkers in an effort to take us away from our mission. The mental body is one of the most, if not the most attacked energy body.
While there are times when lower thoughts can be signs of trauma that we need to work through, this isn’t always the case.
It can be tricky to recognize when the mental body is being attacked. It’s easy to say “well these are my thoughts I just need to get better control of them”. But this isn’t how it works.
In fact, many of us expend so much energy trying to control or deal with our thoughts it takes away from focusing on our purpose of being light.
I’m here to tell you that many of the lower thoughts that come into your head aren’t your fault. It serves no purpose to beat yourself up or try to force yourself to do things differently. This is actually what the dark wants.
In this post, I go through the ways the dark both interferes with our thoughts and attacks the mental body. And I discuss ways to clear and cleanse your mental body and remove the dark’s impact on your thoughts.
How the Dark Interferes with Thoughts
Lightworkers are more prone to attacks by the dark in an attempt to keep us down. The dark’s aim is to keep us tied into its matrix and in order to do that, attacks the mental body so that we operate from a lower place.
The dark creates trauma and wounds (often from past lives) and then uses these wounds to attack us. These attacks can come via our thoughts.
There are many ways the dark interferes with our thoughts and attacks the mental body.
- Lower thoughts focused on fear, worry, obsessing, etc.
- Distracting thoughts to take us away from what it is important
- Self-blame or abuse
I go into more detail on these below.
Thoughts Focused on Fear and Worry
When we are connected to the light, we feel and think good thoughts even if life isn’t perfect. If something lower comes into our field, it is easier to move past it.
But when the dark is attacking the mental body, it becomes much easier to go down the rabbit hole of fear and worry. For me, this is the time when my mind plays out the worst-case scenario. Or I think that I need to make decisions based out of fear.
Thoughts that keep us in fear, worry, fight or flight, or obsessing, are not our natural state. These are clear indicators that the dark is interfering with our thoughts.
The Dark Creates Distracting Thoughts
Creating distractions or drama is one of the dark’s favorite ways to keep us from focusing on what is important.
I’ve noticed when I’m about to do something big on my path, my brain gets flooded with distracting thoughts. You know those never-ending to do lists where everything becomes urgent? That is where my focus goes.
Distracting thoughts can also show up in the form of focusing on what is happening on social media, drama with others around you or watching Netflix instead of meditating.
Being hard on Yourself is An Attack from the Dark
One of the most vicious ways the dark attacks the mental body is through forms of self-punishment or abuse.
Thoughts where we beat ourselves up, or even go so far as to berate or abuse ourselves, are from the dark. If this is something you are struggling with, know that this affects most people on the planet.
Please know that you are perfect exactly as you are. And that anything in your head that tells you otherwise is not of the light.
And while it may seem like it is you who is having these thoughts, it isn’t. So as hard as it may be, go easy on yourself. And carry the awareness with you that this is the dark trying to stop you from being light.
If you are having any thoughts around harming yourself or someone else, please seek professional help. You aren’t alone in having these thoughts and there are many qualified people that can help you.
I can personally say that I have struggled with being extremely hard on myself. But it is something that becomes less and less as I work through my own trauma, focus on loving myself, and clear my mental body regularly.
Below are some of the techniques that I use to cleanse my thoughts.
Techniques to Clear your Mental Body
Awareness that Lower Thoughts Are There
Knowing is half the battle. So having the knowing that lower thoughts are often interference or attacks from the dark can allow you to go easy on yourself. When lower thoughts come in, just remember these aren’t yours or who you truly are.
For example, when I was working on my website, I couldn’t let some technical details go even though I had MUCH bigger things to be working on. No matter how much I tried, I couldn’t stop obsessing about looking up the answers or trying to find the right professional to help me.
I carried the awareness that this wasn’t how I wanted to be and that the dark was really trying to interfere with my thoughts. After all, if I focus on these details, I can’t produce content that is light. This took the pressure off even though I couldn’t stop obsessing.
In fact, there are times where I let myself go down the rabbit hole of lower or distracting thoughts. Doing this removes the fighting and resistance to eliminate the bad thoughts. This can also be a way to process the energy and move through them.
Time in Nature
Nature is extremely beneficial for removing lower or obsessive thoughts. I’m not talking about putting your headphones on and going for a brisk walk or run. That doesn’t count. In fact, you may not exercise at all. The focus is really on getting into the flow of nature.
One of my favorite ways to do this is to go sit under a tree. Ten or fifteen minutes with my back against a tree’s trunk has profound clearing effects. Trees provide comfort and clarity. This is because trees carry a higher consciousness.
I have trees located around my city that I go to. Some are close by so that if I’m limited on time, I don’t have to worry. Others I walk to and use the walk as a way to prepare for my time sitting below the tree.
I keep my phone on silent and just sit there. Sometimes a big clearing will happen, sometimes I’ll get new ideas. Even if there is no major result, I will always feel more at ease and grounded.
Meditation
Meditating with the intention of clearing the mental body works wonders. Consider dedicating 5 minutes of your regular meditation practice to clearing your mental body. If you don’t already have a meditation practice, working with light to clear your thoughts is a great place to start.
I have created a meditation designed to clear your mental body with the assistance of the trees.
If you don’t have time to meditate that day, allowing yourself to just sit in a quiet room can do wonders for clearing your head. I like to do this at the end of the day before I go to sleep.
Take Technology Breaks
Technology is designed to be distracting. Between emails, texts, social media, Netflix and working online – the ways to take us off our path our endless. Along with this, EMFs create interference in our energy fields and make it more difficult to connect with the light. They are designed to scramble us.
Taking breaks from technology is crucial in removing lower thoughts and interference. Turn off your router at night and when possible, during the day. Take a break from your phone, especially while meditating. And avoid wearing wi-fi emitting devices on your body.
How to Handle Persistent Lower Thoughts
If you’ve meditated and done everything you know to do to clear your thoughts it doesn’t mean you are doing something wrong. It is important to know that often these clearings happen in layers.
Lower thoughts can be a sign of stuff we need to work through. Sometimes we may know what is causing the thoughts and sometimes we won’t. Often, worry and fear is rooted in past lives. If you’ve done all you can do to clear your thoughts, and you still feel off, that is perfectly normal. It is all about taking things one step at a time.
If you are unsure of what to do next, ask your higher self to lead you to ways to heal the trauma creating the wounds. Stay open to what ideas and resources come your way to assist you with this. Regularly cleansing your mental body can help you more easily connect with your guidance on how to heal.
The Benefits of Regular Mental Body Clearing
It is crucial to cleanse your mental body regularly. The more you do this, the easier it becomes. When you cleanse your thoughts, you’ll more easily be able to connect with your guidance. Once you experience the benefits and the remembering of your own thoughts of light, regular clearing becomes something you want to do.
